Member representing Jema’a/Sanga Federal Constituency, Hon. Nicholas Sarkin-Noma urged all parties in the attack and counter-attack in Ungwan-Bido to show retrain and desist from taking the law into their own hands. Adding that, they should allow the Security Agents to undertake a thorough investigation with a view to bringing the perpetrators to book.
He said, he received with sadness, the news of killings, attacks and counter-attacks in Ungwan Bido and other surrounding Communities within Asso Ward in Jema’a Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
The federal lawmaker commiserate with those who have lost loved ones and the injured.
“These incidents are happening few weeks after an all-embracing Peace submit aimed at fostering understanding and peaceful coexistence is, to say the least, very disheartening.
“The persistent failure to follow due process by all warring parties have always been at the root of all the crises,” he lamented.
He pleaded for the deployment of Security Personnel to the affected Areas to halt further attacks and restore peace.
In a press statement released by the Kaduna State government via the Commissioner of Internal Security and Home Affairs, Mr. Samuel Aruwan, it stated that, “The military on Saturday, 28th November 2020, reported to the government that one herder, Isiyaka Saidu of Ungwan Pah village of Jema’a local government was killed by unknown persons with deep knives cut on his head.
The military further stated that three persons were arrested from Ungwan Pah and Ungwan Bido villages of the same local government area as follows:

Security agencies have furthered reported that Ungwan Bido village was attacked today, Sunday 29th November 2020, where some local residents were killed and four injured. Two children are missing.
The six persons killed are:
1. Silas Maman
2. Malaki Tabat
3. Geofree Andrew
4. Anna Ahmadu
5. Sunday Tagwai
6. Fidelis Musa
Four persons were injured as follows:
1. Adamu Mangai
2. Matta Silas
3. Yaro Musa
4. Yaro Andrew
Two children are missing as follows:
1. Rebecca Àndrew
2. Clement Andrew
The houses of the following citizens were burnt by the attackers:
1. Adamu Mangai
2. Gideon Nuhu
3. Andrew Adamu
4. Alphonsus Michael
