The Zumunta Association USA Inc Benevolent Palliatives Project Award is driven by the central focus on meeting the expectations of the neediest persons, such as those at IDPs camps.
Our members have been pained by the hardship experienced by our people at home, given the current social and economic crises in Nigeria. In that effort, Zumunta selected seven more states including Abuja (FCT) namely:
Adamawa State, Bauchi State. Benue State, Gombe State, Kwara State, Niger , Taraba State and Abuja from where all the recipient NGOs have been drawn.
This Zumunta Benevolent Palliative initiative and effort has motivated my humble self, the President of the association, along with Five other individuals who have made private
donations to Nine additional NGOs and one government agency of choice making it a total of Eighteen recipients/beneficiaries of the
Zumunta Benevolent Palliative Project being awarded today.
Moses tasked wealthy individuals in Nigeria to add credence to the fight against poverty.
“Our donations may be viewed
and minimized as just a drop in the bucket, and but Zumunta’s desires and those of us in the bucket, motivated private donors is that, people should see the humanitarian objective behind
the benevolence of the palliative project to reach out to the poor in our society and hopefully will be, a catalyst and driving force aimed at motivating well-meaning and privileged Nigerians positioned by their opportunities in life, to greatly replicate our humble gesture by donating to NGOs such as the recipients/beneficiaries today.
This is the only way society can aid the State and federal governments to uplift the livelihood of the poor in our region and Nigeria as a whole, through our act of charity and philanthropy being our brothers and Sisters keepers.
In respect of these benevolence, each of the selected Eighteen recipients will be given N500,000 each; amounting to the sum of 9,000, 0.000 for the Eighteen NGOs, which will total N12,500,000 for both phase one and phase two of the Zumunta Benevolent Palliative Project Awards disbursed so far: N3.5M in 2021 and N9.0M in 2022 respectively.
