In a rejoinder by Dr. John Danfulani, the recently suspended PDP member by the party’s State Working Committee on the allegation of antiparty activities, which the preminary hearing found the allegation credible and hence, the suspension, said:
SWC “dated 16th May 2020 also notified: I will appear before a disciplinary committee to defend allegations incubated and hatched against me.
“In the evening of 18th May 2020 the CTC Chairman inaugurated the disciplinary committee of seven people. They were given five terms of reference. Again, the committee was accorded the power to use all means of communication. They have one week to complete their assignment.
“So far, there is no formal or informal communication between the committee or a member with me. Technically, they have five days to complete their assignment. In the remaining five days, only one day(Thursday 21/5/2020) is permitted for movement in Kaduna state.
“Administratively and legally, suspension is a form of punishment. People get such a punishment after they have been found wanting by an in-house committee or the court. Ironically, I have not been found wanting by any. Impeccable fact!
“Slamming suspension on me and directing me to appear before a committee is the silliest thing to do. Even a Nobel prize winner in foolishness will not appear. In my case, they better note that; I will not appear even with a loaded Russian made pistol placed on my forehead.
“I’m heading to court to test: a) the legality of section 57(3) of PDP’s constitution vis a vis our 1999 constitution(as amended); b) decision to suspend me before appearing before a disciplinary committee; and c) the legality of their action in tandem with the quarantine act of Kaduna state.
“I’m not a persona that will not test legality of an association’s law in the court if I suspect it is infringing on my natural or legal rights. And God’s willing, I will test all CTC’s decisions–including the legality of their existence as a party organ in court.”
