A repeat of 2015 in the 2023 elections and the need to calculate properly not to be left in limbo is essential.
In 2015, many of us saw the need to shift ground and join the train because it was obvious change was going to take place so we joined the A.
It was not about emotions but political calculation and it appears we were correct even though the APC later became a huge disappointment! What happened after 2015, we all are witnesses and the rest is history.
The big question is; Are we better as a people? Are we more secure as a people? Are we ready to give a new mechanic our car for repair or we rather return to the one we know after testing this one? Are we ready for another experiment?
Politics is not about the spectrum of emotions or trying to prove a point. It is about studying the trends and aligning with the right team so that we can attract development and dividends of democracy to your people. History has shown that no party has done for our people what the PDP did in the last 16 years.
We had about six (6) Ministers, A GMD of NNPC, Chief of Defence Staff, Service Chiefs, and other prominent positions attracted to our zone. We had SSGs, Head of Service, and strategic appointments in the State Government. Then, we had development attracted to our zone: roads, electricity, development areas, etc. We even had a Governor; late. Sir. Patrick Ibrahim Yakowa of blessed memory (may God rest his soul).
Today, we do not have a federal appointment that is equivalent to the last seven and a half years. Today, Kaduna state has two Federal Ministers all from the Northern part, many Federal appointments, and yet none from Southern Kaduna except those whose careers got them to the apex.
The State appointments failed to reflect our diversity. Not to even mention the number of our people that were sacked and the businesses affected by this administration’s policies, etc. Can anyone tell me one prominent Southern Kaduna person in the APC at the Federal level, the Board of APC trustees or that has a say in Buhari’s government? We have gone into oblivion.
By their myopic standard, we are not fit enough to even be a Vice Chancellor in our State University despite having the highest number of Professors in the state. It is a sad thing, to say the least, or are we going to pretend there is no marginalization?
The last Local Government elections in 2021 have proved that there is a paradigm shift from APC to PDP in Kaduna State going by the number of Councillors produced in the State, especially in the Northern part where the PDP has the highest even though they manipulated the Chairmanship positions. The recent movement from APC to PDP is another indicator that the PDP will take power by the Grace of God.
We should not limit yourselves to our villages or zone alone, we must go out there, mingle with our brothers from the other side and be part of history! We should not waste the opportunity to take power first and then share it with our brothers. We have cancer that only together, can we eliminate!
A tree cannot make a forest and a stitch in time saves nine. Experience, they say, is the best teacher! PDP has taken over everywhere in the northern part.
Find out! Decide right!!
