After 2 weeks in existence and barely 24 hours after it’s inaugural meeting in Kaduna, Membership of the Southern Kaduna New Faces rose remarkably to 10,000. The exposition was made to Journalists during a media briefing in Kaduna by the Chairman of the group, Mr. Tanko Rossi Sabo, yesterday.
“We have made contingency plan to accommodate more people in the group because we anticipated growth due to the vision of the group and what it represents,” Sabo said.
Adding, “the group is youth-based and what we are yearning for is for the entire youth of Southern Kaduna. So, because it is a struggle that is aimed at addressing part of their political challenges, we knew from the start that more and more youths will align their interests for their common good.”
Sabo further said that, registration is still ongoing in 12 local government areas that constitute Southern Kaduna because we intend to build a solid population base for mass movement.
The grassroot politician also debunked the claims by some political jobbers that the group is kicking against the choice of Dr. John Ayuba as running mate by PDP gubernatorial candidate, Rt. Hon. Isa Ashiru.
“I want to say categorically that, the Southern Kaduna New Faces is not kicking against Dr. John Ayuba as the running mate to Rt. Hon. Isa Ashiru. The main objective of the group is fighting for the political emancipation of Southern Kaduna youths. This is why we are demanding for 65 per cent youth inclusion in PDP campaign structures in the state.”
