People Democratic Party (PDP) Aspirant Hon. Sunday Marshal Katung, said, if he becomes the Senator representing Southern Kaduna Senatorial District he will network with governments at various levels to improve on the safety of lives and properties in the region, he equally promise to build a befitting Information Communication Technology (ICT) hub and develop the ginger subsector in the region.
Katung made the disclosure, Thursday, at Kachia, Zangon-Kataf and Kaura Local Government Areas during his consultation tour of Southern Kaduna.
“If elected, I would network with governments at all levels to ensure the security of our people and build a ICT hub that our youth will take advantage of to develop their skill, which will help them in wealth creation.
“In today’s world, many youth around the world are generating immense wealth through the ICT and I don’t want our youth to be left behind.
“I would use my network to ensure that our farmers in the ginger business benefits sufficiently from the ginger value chain. Today, ginger from Southern Kaduna is being exported by Indians and Kano exporters.
“This literally mean that, the farmers are not the ones making the much return on investment. This is partly attributed to the fact that we refused to form clusters and access the international market. “
