Following the perennial infrastructural decay and neglect by successive government in kaduna State, Tsaunin Kura community otherwise called Sabo GRA in Chikun Local Government Area of the State has resorted to self-help to enhance it’s Infrastructural development.
To realise their aspiration, the Chairman of the community, Dr. Silas Adamu has innuagurated committees. These committees includes: Finance, Electricity, Waste Management, Women and Youths, Legal, Media and Security. And each of the committees is expected to forward it’s report in the next one month to set the ball rolling.
Speaking at the innuaguration over the weekend, Dr. Adamu charged members of the commitees “to serve as a driving force by giving the leadership the needed professional advice from different areas of project development with the view to achieveing the vision it has set out for the community”.
Dr. Adamu stressed the necessity of community self help in society development, he calls on Governor Nasir el-Rufai to complement their efforts by stepping in to solve the perennial problem of motorable roads Sabo GRA is facing, especially during the rainy season.
Also speaking, the Residents’ Vice President, Mr. Onoja Attah who noted that the committees were set up to give direction and workable templates towards collaborating with government to meet the standard of an urban setting, tasked landlords to perform their obligations by ensuring prompt payment of their ground rents to the state government.
