Kajuru Local Council of kaduna State has recruited 1000 Civilian Joint Task Force across the ten wards of the council, which is tasked with the responsibility of security surveillance. The move is part of the new strategy in the fight against insurgency in the area, that is aimed at bring to an end the recurring attacks in some parts of LG.
According to the Executive Chairman of the council, Honourable Cafra Caino, “The formation of the JTF became expedient in complementing the conventional security apparatus in providing effective security network.
“Kajuru Council has over 1million unused hectre of land with some difficult terrains, pointing out that the emergence of the JTF, as obtains in other trouble parts of the country, was to help curtail other social vices in the communities so as to create a conducive environment for development.
“Though, the security challenges has taken a better chunk of the council’s finances, it will welcome support of any kind from well meaning Nigerians towards the restoration of enduring peace in the area. He then solicited for the cooperation of the citizens for desired peace to be achieved.”
It will be recalled that the Chairman had on Friday through a statement, announced the approval for the formation of a Coalition of Joint Tax Force across the ten Wards of the local government area, as part of measures employed to end the recurring killings in some parts of the council.
