In a press statement signed and issued to the press yesterday in Kaduna by the Special Adviser, Media and Public Affairs to the Kaduna State People Democratic Party (PDP) Chairman, Mr. Edward John Auta, he said that, the PDP family held
an expanded stakeholders caucus meeting of the party to set the agenda for the new year.
Adding, The meeting which was well attended and presided over by the State Chairman, Hon. Felix Hassan Hyat, deliberated on several issues of great concern and resolved inter alia to continue with all cases at the LG Elections Petition Tribunal with a view to reclaiming the people’s mandate in more than 10 LGAs where the party recorded resounding victories; expressed confidence in the judiciary as an impartial arbiter determined to stand on the side of the people; support the party leadership in every way necessary to consolidate on the gains recorded in the previous year; and restated the PDP’s commitment to rescuing Kaduna State from the crass ineptitude of the. APC-led government which has let down the people in virtually every facet of their lives since 2015.
The State Chairman expressed his utmost appreciation to the stakeholders for coming despite their tight schedules, and for their unwavering commitment and support to the party always, while also urging them to do more.
The meeting had in attendance Rt. Hon. Isa Mohammed Ashiru, the party’s gubernatorial candidate in 2019, Dist. Sen. Danjuma Laah, who represents Kaduna South Senatorial District at the Red Chamber, members of the BOT from the state, members of the state working and non-working committee, the minority leader and other members of the Kaduna State House of Assembly, Local Government Council Chairmen, LG party chairmen, serving and former members of the national assembly, LG Stakeholders Chairmen, and several aspirants and chieftains from the 23 LGAs in the state.
The caucus also later received a delegation of the Atiku for President Group, led by the High Chief Raymond Dokpesi, in continuation of thier nationwide tour to consult with chieftains and leadership of the party in the state on the 2023 presidential ambition of the former Vice President and presidential candidate in the 2019 compromised elections, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, Wazirin Adamawa.
