Dear Prince Mohammed Kadade Suleiman, Haven read on your recent release with regards the arrest of protesters in Zaria; there’s no doubt that you’ve done well by lending your voice in this struggle of right against might. Moreso, you got me pleased when you had to remind government that arresting peaceful and harmless protesters is today the least of our nation’s troubles. Also, a recall that protest is a constitutional right.
Indeed, you have just lectured the government on what they already know but still deliberately refusing to do right, and therefore leading the nation astray. Importantly, forgive me to state that I and other likeminds do not really fancy your use of “We condemn in strong terms the arrest of protesters in Zaria”.
We the youth of Nigeria and particularly of the major opposition People’s Democratic Party expects you to play different from “them” and the norm and as well be more objective, particularly on issues as such. For you, there’s literally no room for political correctness above the interest of all of us, the PDP and that of the nation.
We expect you to go beyond all expectations by organising youth summits, walks of unity, major protests if possible -as this would make significant contributions, even to the morale of the youth of Nigeria. We trust and believe that you’ll be more of an active Nigerian Youth than just another ordinary youthful Nigerian politician. God bless you and I wish you well.
