The People Democratic Party (PDP) aspirant in Kaduna State and the party’s flag bearer at the 2019 polls, Rt. Hon. Isa Mohammed Ashiru, declared that, it is just a matter of time we will be in Sir Kashim Ibrahim House. Ashiru made the statement while speaking to press men after he inaugurated his campaign council in Kaduna, today.
According to the former Lawmaker, “I have what it takes to turn around kaduna state for the good people of the state because of the experience I have in almost all sectors of human endeavours. I was a Civil Servant before I joined politics and I know I have what it takes to be in the engine room of government.
“I served at the state Assembly for 8 years, I was at the National Assembly and we reached out to International donour agencies, I was the Chairman of Appropriation Committee where we went looking for funds to finance state projects, I was opportune to be exposed to some financial institutions where we can bring a lot of supports to turn around things for the better.
“Unfortunately for us, Kaduna State have been taken aback 50 years. The security situation in the state is in its lowest ebb. The state have been balkanized and if we don’t get things right the issue of development can’t be in the front burner. The present situation in the state is beyond comprehension but, we can’t fold our hands while things continue to deteriorate.”
Ashiru also spoke of his readiness to contest the coveted seat of power in the state, saying, he is combat ready for the 2023 PDP primary election.
“Me and my campaign council will go out and canvas for delegates. The brains I assembled in my campaign council are equally men of impeccable character, these are politicians that have been in the game for the last 30 – 40 years. The campaign council is also the blend of old and new breed of politicians, these are people that will come up with something that is workable.
Ashiru urged delegates to see reasons and do the needful by taking the best decision that will serve the best interest of the people of the state.
