People Democratic Party, PDP, candidate at the 2019 general election and former House of Representatives member, Rt. Hon. Ashiru Kudan, declared that, he will contest the Kaduna State governorship seat come 2023.
“As a Kaduna State indigene and someone who is still agile, vibrant and someone who is willing to give his best to his state, I will still contest for the governor seat in the 2023 election” he said.
Ashiru made the assertions at a breakfast interactive meeting with his political associates in kaduna.
Speaking further on the massive decamping of topnotch politicians from other political parties to the PDP who have expressed willingness to contest for governorship under the banner of PDP in 2023, the political juggernaut succinctly put it that everyone is welcome that the party has capacity to carry everyone along.
“The umbrella is more than adequate to accommodate more heads, so, we want more members.”
He said the complex nature of kaduna state, its diverse ethnic and religious background and the numerous personalities that are abound in the state has necessitated Ashiru and his allies to embark on a wider consultation so as to develop an all-inclusive campaign structure.
“These are basically responsible for the delay,” Ashiru proclaimed. “We have received inputs from experts both within and outside the state on how we can develop a campaign structure that will be encompassing to carry every region of the state along.”
