The Senior Special Assistant Political Matters (Office of the Deputy Governor), Hon. Wilson Yange Iliya felicitate with Christian faithful in kaduna state at Easter. Saying, Easter is symbolic in the lives of all Christians, as such, it is expected of all Christians to emulate and practicalise the teachings of our Lord Jesus Christ, which is centered on love to one another.
Yange enjoin Christians not to be panicked or lose hope by the Covid-19 pandemic for God is still on the throne. He added that, it is very unfortunate that this year’s Easter was celebrated amid the Corona virus outbreak but, we must focus at the essence of the season which is the resurrection of Jesus Christ and the sacrifice he made for us.
However, he appealed to the people of the state to back government effort, which is aimed at mitigating the spread of the Virus. “I’m appealling to the good people of kaduna state to abide strictly to the stay at home order put in place by both the federal and state governments. The measure is to forestall community spread of the virus.
“If not for the stay at home measure, the spread of the covid-19 would have been astronomical and deadly. But, thank God for the shrewd and swift decisions taken by our proactive Governor of kaduna State, which tammed the spread of the virus.
Yange urged the people of kaduna State to apply all the safety precautions such as social distancing, respect the stay at home order, washing of hands, report all suspected cases and avoid self medication.
He is pleading with well meaning Nigerians and corperate organisations to join hands with the government to fight this menace. “This war against Covid-19 is not a one man fight, it is a fight that requires all of us to combine our skills and resources to kill the common enemy that has the potential of consuming us all. We must support government spiritually and financially to fight this monster.
“I’m equally calling on all and sundry to support our able Governor Nasiru El-rufai and his deputy, Hajiya Hadiza Balarabe on the laudable projects being executed in the state as the state is undergoing an unusual transformation.
“I want everyone to be hopeful and not to give up hope. The covid-19 is one off, the world has gone through series of disasters and became better. Like any other problem, the Covid-19 will give economies opportunities to remodel.”
