Hon. Wilson Yangye Iliya, the Senior Special Assistant, Political Matters (office of the Deputy Governor) of kaduna State is commemorating with Gov. Nasiru El-rufai for the victory he recorded over the deadly Corona virus. Saying, the monumental battle was won by the grace of God that is upon our governor, the support and prayers of his family, the prayers and well wishes of the good people of kaduna State and the dogged determination of the state taskforce on covid-19.
“I’m thanking God Almighty for the healing, I also want to express my profound gratitude to Her Excellency, the pragmatic Deputy Governor who had been working tirelessly with the medical team that ensured he received the attention that he deserved. His family for the pains and psychological trauma they went through while he was receiving treatment and the people of the state for their prayers and well wishes.”
“And to my Governor,” he said. Adding that,”This challenge of covid-19 that you’ve pulled through, has attested to your resilience and strong will in overcoming challenges of life. We appreciate God for the preservation of your life and pray to God Almighty that your life as from this moment will experience an extraordinary protection from any kind of evil that may stand on you track.”
Yangye is calling on the good people of kaduna State to be law abiding and to adhere fervently to the lockdown and social distancing order put in place by the state government, warning that, the war against covid-19 is not over yet.
“This war has just began, it is not over yet. When we think that the curve is flattened, we are often awaken to new and terrific stories of the covid-19 devastation. From Kano to Lagos, US to Germany, China to South Korea and other technologically advanced countries, the stories are not favourable, they are heinous.
“So, we must be cautious. We must be scientific in all of our dealings and above all, we must be prayerful and avoid all sorts of gathering as ordered by both the federal and state governments and we must frequently wash our hands with soap on running waters and apply our hand sanitizers regularly.
Yangye applauded Governor El-rufai for issuing for an amendment of the Quarantine Regulations, which will seek everyone in Kaduna to wear face mask when going out of their homes or workplace and the state government, in it’s magnanimity is going to make the masks available (free of charge) to the poor and vulnerable groups.
He however commended the leadership style of the Deputy Governor while the Governor was on COVID-19 medical treatment. The virtual meeting with state executive council and the standing committee, Task Force, Ministry of Health and other related agencies was an indication of a continued and non-stop system of governance in Kaduna State.
