Member representing Jema’a/Sanga Federal Constituency at the National Assembly and Chairman Committee on anti-corruption, Hon. Shehu Nicholas Garba (Sarkin-Noma), has urged members of his constituency and Nigerians in general to imbibe the spirit of love, peace and forgiveness as they celebrate this year’s Christmas.
The federal lawmaker made the call in a Christmas Message to his Constituents through his Personal Assistant, Mr. Mock Samuel Kure. He said the birth and life of Christ teaches us lessons in love, tolerance, forgiveness and hope.
Adding: “Such attributes are expected to manifest in the lives of Christians in their interactions with one another and their neighbors.
“The solution to problems engulfing our Nation and indeed the world today stem from the absence of Love ,fairness ,tolerance and forgiveness ,explaining that if we all imbibe these attributes, terrorism, ethnic clashes, and other vices that are retarding the growth of our constituency and the nation at large would become things of the past.”
He urged Christians to remain steadfast in prayers and practice love by sharing what they have with the less privileged persons in their neighbourhood.
The Honourable Member called on the people to beware that the Covid-19 is still with us, with daily increase in the number of new infections and urged them to continue to observe the safety protocols that were advised.
He also urged vigilance by all with an advice to Constituents to report any threat or potential threat to peace to Security Agents.
