The Minority Whip of the House of Representatives and member representing Kaura Federal Constituency, Hon. Gideon Gwani has recently embarked on the tour of 10 Wards in Kaura Federal Constituency where he thanked the people for the noble support they have given him in his political life, especially at the 2019 polls.
According to the Federal Lawmaker, the tour which was billed to have taken place long before now but, was shifted to a later date due to the Covid-19 pandemic, is basically to say thank you to the good people of Kaura Federal Constituency for their support over the years in his political sojourn.
“I’m here today to thank everyone who played a role in my victory over the years and at the 2019 polls. Without your support I wouldn’t have emerged victorious and it is on this backdrop that I’m returning the glory to God and thanking you all for your sacrifices,” has said.
The journey of my political life can never be separated from you people and the unflinching support I have enjoyed from you can never be quantified, he added.
Gurara Accord has gathered that, Hon. Gwani has already visited 8 Wards: Agban; kukum; Fada; Kpak; Mallagum; Kadarko; Bondong and Kaura while Manchok and Zankan Wards will be visited soon.
Hon. Gideon Gwani is walking the talk, living up to his constitutional mandate: legislating and sponsoring bills. He is also driving Human Capital Development and facilitating ground breaking projects in his Constituency. Some communities and individuals have added a leaf to their prosperous lives.
In a report published by one of Nigeria’s famous national dailies on 12 May, 2020 revealed that, Minority Whip of the House of Representatives and member representing Kaura Federal Constituency, Hon. Gideon Gwani was among the lawmakers in the country with the most number of Bills with 20 in his kitty. He has done incredibly well in legislation, which is his core mandate. He is equally boosting the economic viability of some communities in his constituency through various intervention programmes.
In his 2021 constituency projects in Kaura Federal Constituency about 800 people have been trained by experts in various agricultural fields with starter packs given to all the trainees after the training. Out of these 800 people, 420 participants have benefited from the Fish Farming training programme by the Federal College of Fisheries and Marine Technology, Lagos.
In addition, 187 women acquired various skills through the Entrepreneurship Development Training for women in Kaura, which was undertaken in collaboration with Edgab Engineering LTD on how to be financially independent.
Still, there is an ongoing construction of a 3km road; it stretches from Water Board with a Ring Road to the Chief of Kagoro Palace.
To reduce the challenges of light that was faced in some communities, Gwani has installed a 33KVA transformer in Fadan Kagoro and there is an ongoing Solar lights project that stretches from Manchok to Kagoro and also an ongoing Rural Electrification project in Ungwan Rami Fadan Daji Kagoro, Madamai Kagoro, Zankan Maro’a, Zangang Atakar, Adu Atakar, Ashim Atakar and Ungwan kaya.
In the educational sub-sector, Gwani has built two classrooms in Government Day Secondary School, Fadan Daji Kagoro.
In March, 2020, prior to his Thank You visit to Wards in his Constituency, the magnanimity of the lawmaker is again felt by beneficiaries/recipients of the 60 Motorcycles he unconditionally shared across 3 Wards (Kukum Ward, Fadan Kagoro Ward and Agban Ward with 20 persons in each Ward given a Motorcycle to ease their movement).
Across the various wards Hon. Gwani went for the Thank You visit, people in their multitude ushered encomium on the political maestro, urging him to do more while promising him their unalloyed support in his current mandate and beyond.
