Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, gubernatorial candidate at the 2019 polls, Hon. Isa Ashiru has donated the sum of N500,000 to victims of recent attacks in some communities in Southern Kaduna. The donation was made to an Internal Displaced Persons, IDPs, camp in Mariri, Kauru Local Government Area of the State.
Ashiru made the monetary contribution via a proxy, Ambassador Sule Buba who was his campaign Director General in 2019.
“Ashiru is sympathizing with you people,” Buba said. Adding that, “He feels your pains and understands your numerous challenges.”
He further stated, He is deeply touched by the incessant strife occurring in the State, especially in Southern Kaduna, where innocent lives and properties are perpetually lost. However, receive this token of his support towards alleviating your suffering.
He called on government to stop the blame game, be unbiased and live up to its cardinal responsibility of protecting lives and properties of the people, which is the primary purpose of government.
In the same vein, he called on the people to eschew bitterness, shun violence and learn to live together in peace for the progress and development of the State.
Ardo Ruguni Pate, who received the donation expressed their gratitude to Hon. Ashiru for the act of Kindness.
He said, “This shows that Ashiru is a man that is sympathetic to the plight of others and is ready to come to their aid at their time of needs.
“Amongst the members of the delegation, were Deputy Director General, Comrade Danjuma Sarki, Hon. Ben Bako, Alhaji Tijjani Musa as well as Hon. Aisha Ibrahim.
It you recall Ashiru recently visited and donated the same amount to the Mercy IDPs Camp, Zonkwa in Zangon Kataf LGA.
