The Member representing Zango Kataf and Jaba Federal Constituencies at the House of Representatives, Hon. Amos Gwamna has facilitated the construction of a bridge that will connect 50 villages across River Kaduna.
If completed, the bridge will connect River Kaduna at Kigudu Village in Zango Kataf Local Government Area of Kaduna State and it will help in tackling insecurity and promote agricultural activities and economic development of the state.
Gwamna made these assertions on an oversight function at the project site, recently.
Speaking further, the lawmaker added, It will also assist the people to easily transport their farm produce to neighboring markets, as well as help the security operatives to respond swiftly to distressed calls in troubled areas whenever the need arises.
He thanked the communities for the honour they had done to him and pledged to continue to play his part to bring succour and quality representation to his people.
The lawmaker advised the people to ensure they utilize their permanent voter’s card during this year’s elections to vote in only leaders who have their interest at heart and not to be deceived by selfish politicians who are bent on making the people vote along religious and ethnic lines.
The Pastor of Ecwa Church Magwafang admonishes the people to always show appreciation to their leaders who have done well for them, to encourage them to do more.
In his remark, the Youth Leader of the community, Elisha Sule Zaki, appealed to the contractors to look into the possibility of constructing a school within the community as their corporate social responsibility, to ease the stress their children are passing daily, trekking long distances in search of education.
The elders of the community said the appeal for the project began during the time of their forefathers, during the colonial administration.
According to the site engineer, Christopher Nze, the project will be completed before the end of the year
