The President and Founder of the Governor’s Assembly in Kafanchan, Kaduna State, Pastor Gideon Mutum has made a Clarion call for an urgent National Confab. According to the Clergy, this will create an avenue for conversation, dialogue and consensus on the problems facing the region and, in a way find solution to the lingering incessant killings in Southern Kaduna and other states.
The Cleric made the call in an interview with Journalists in kafanchan over the reoccurring incident of killings rocking Southern Kaduna.
Mutum reiterated that if there is anything Southern Kaduna needs to address the lingering issues that has bedevilled the region is to organise a National Confab that would help expose some certain issues and to proffer a lasting solutions.
According to him a delegation of all the tribes in Southern Kaduna needs to be part of the National confab, adding the Hausa Fulani delegation need to be involved.
He explained that having the delegation of the Hausa Fulani in the National confab would help address some certain narratives that are peddling within their quarters.
” Let us not fold our arms and pretend as if there are no problems, looking at the recent revelations of some issues that are arising from different quarters, adding, “to the best of my knowledge the national conference would cushion the lingering issues.
While commenting on the existence of Hausa Fulani in the Southern Kaduna, Mutum said the Fulani settlements in the region are still standing untouchable.
” For someone to say that the Southern Kaduna People don’t want anybody to stay within our boundaries, it’s a blatant lies,” The President said.
Mutum disclosed that there is no Chiefdom in Southern Kaduna that does not have a Hausa Fulani person that’s ruling only but a few.” He maintained.
