The former Attorney General, AG, of Kaduna State, Barr. Jonathan Kish Adamu, expressed his excitement over the release of N3bn mobilisation to contractors by Gov. Nasiru El-rufai of Kaduna State to kickstart the Kafanchan Urban Renewal Projects.
Kish praised the move on his social media account, saying, “I learnt the KDSG has released money for that purpose and work would soon start. I will like to commend and thank the government of El-Rufai for seeing wisdom in expanding that road and urge that more of such projects be executed in Southern Kaduna state for more inclusive development.”
Kish went further and revealed how he had sent the same proposal to kaduna State government but, it was shoved aside.
“One of my worst days when I was in government was when I suggested the expansion/dualisation of the major road in Kafanchan which runs from the NEPA roundabout through the market and I was practically ridiculed for the idea. My attempts to offer an explanation were shot down and I was left unusually tongue tied,” he lamented.
However, Kaduna State Government over the weekend flag-off the Kafanchan City Urban Renewal Project with the formal handing over of 26.3 kilometer-roads at the cost of N12.89 billion to two contractors: Rafali Nigeria Limited and Farmtrac Nigeria Limited, respectively.
