In a Sallah message he issued to Journalists in Kaduna, Bakut declares support for Ashiru-Ayuba joint ticket for governor, Hon. Sunday Marshal Katung for Senate, Amos Gwamna Magaji for House of Representatives, Zango/Jaba Federal Constituency, Mal. Samaila Suleiman for House of Representatives, Kaduna North Federal Constituency, Emmanuel Kantiok for State House of Assembly, Zonkwa Constituency, Samuel Kambai for House of Assembly, Zango Constituency, Henry Marah for House of Assembly, Jaba Constituency and pledged his unwavering support for the People Democratic Party (PDP) up to the presidential.
The young politician also called on all PDP members in the state, those who contested at the party’s primaries or had interest at any level but, their aspirations never came to fruition to see it as the will of God and join hands with those that are lucky to have clinched the party’s ticket to work for the overall interest of the party.
“Though many PDP faithful did expressed interest for the running mate position but, the person who the onus lies with him to decide on who becomes his deputy, in his wisdom, picked John Ayuba,” Bakut said. Adding, Ashiru finally settles for his preferred running mate and as loyal party members, irrespective of our myriad interests, we need to rally round Isa mohammed Ashiru and his running mate to actualize the party’s set objective in Kaduna State.”
He further said, the atmosphere is very clear that PDP will coast home to victory in the Presidential, Governorship, Senate, House of Representatives and State House of Assembly elections in many states. But, a lot more need to be done. PDP establishments must, as a matter of urgency, embark on aggressive reconciliation across coterie of aggrieved members and aggregate party’s interest.
“It is natural that after every election, many people will be pained by the outcome of the election. We are human beings and we cannot claim perfection but, our ability to reconcile our differences and approach the elections with our house intact will go a long way to show how we are committed to ensuring victory,’ he said.
Bakut calls for youth inclusiveness in Ashiru and Atikus’s campaign structures and equally urged youths across the country, especially PDP staunch supporters to make sure they get their Voters Card because that’s the only way they can put in place the right leaders that can guarantee their happiness.
Bakut is a young entrepreneur and astute politician, he contested for the Kaduna State House of Assembly in 2014 and served in many capacities both in government and private sectors. He holds a Masters Degree in Industrial and Labour Relations. He is a fellow chartered institute of Management Consultant (FIMC); fellow Chartered Institute of Loan and Risk Management of Nigeria (FCILRM); Registered member, Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria(COREN); Member, Nigerian Society of Engineers (MNSE) and member, National Institute of Mechanical Engineers (MNIMechE) and other professional bodies.
