The Daughter of the Presidential candidate of the People Democratic party (PDP), Maryam Atiku Abubakar, Thursday allegedly held a closed-door meeting with a group, under the auspices of “Christian Vanguard for ATIKU”
The meeting was said to have taken place in an undisclosed venue in the Southern Kaduna region which was aimed at mobilising massive votes for her Father, Alh. Atiku Abubakar ahead of the 2023 general elections.
Southern Kaduna remained the stronghold of the opposition party in the entire North-west Zone, hence the interest of the Presidential daughter.
A source who pleaded anonymity said the meeting was centred on unity and to forge a common front ahead of the 2023 general elections.
” This meeting is to set agenda to effectively articulate the interests of our region within the context of prevailing today’s political and economic realities.
He said the group was formed to project the candidature of Atiku and Isa Ashiru, the Kaduna State PDP gubernatorial candidate.
Another source maintained that Atiku remain the best candidate that would entrench true democratic values and respect the rule of law.
He said as clergy in the Southern part of the State, they’ll engage and close ranks to ensure massive support for our Presidential candidate who has shown capacity and in all facet of life.
