The long and anticipated presidential and National Assembly elections have come and gone, winners and losers have emerged, the court is opened for litigation while political parties have gone to the drawing boards to strategize on how to win the governorships and majority of state assembly seats.
One state that the nation and everyone need to look out for on 11 march 2023 is Kaduna state, going by the 25th February 2023 election results, the political parties, and the governorship candidates.
Kaduna state governorship elections have always been a two-horse race, with both parties candidates coming from zone 1, but the coming of Labour Party(LP) and their candidate Rt. Hon. Johnathan Asake, the erstwhile SOKAPU President, the acceptability of the party especially, in zone 3 and majority of zone 2, the LP performance in the just concluded Presidential and National Assembly election, and the love of Asake by his people due to his superb and terrific performance as SOKAPU President has endeared him to many voters and might likely change the game to any direction.
permit me at this juncture to salute the resilient, fearless, patriotic, and competent of Rt. Hon. Johnathan Asake for daring the status quo. Thank you for proving to our brothers in zone 1 and the two main political parties that enough of looking down on zone 3 and that we have what it takes to occupy Sir Kashim Ibrahim House and am sure they won’t take us for granted again, at least not now.
But sir, here’s the masses’ opinions and feedback, that your point has been made, your message is clear to everyone that cares to listen and your good intentions for kadalites are known and well-accepted sir. But the masses are also calling on you that hence your intentions are in line with that of PDP, which is first to kick out our common enemy the APC, and continuation of El-Rufai’s reign, we feel there’s a need to have a deeper reflection within you to see if there’s need to form an alliance with Isah Ashiru, the PDP candidate to make this match easier for all of us to win, for United we stand and divided we fall.
