Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Unistar Services Ltd, Commissioner representing Kaduna State at the National Population Commission (NPC) and Governorship Aspirant under the auspice of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Kaduna State, Dr. Abdulmalik Durungwa, described the current state of insecurity and inter-ethnic relations in the state as worrisome.
Durungwa made the disclosure at a media parley with the members of the Southern Kaduna Practicing Journalists Forum in Kaduna over the weekend.
Durungwa said, he is committed towards the restoration of total and sustainable peace in Zangon-Kataf and Southern Kaduna in general.
He spoke on current the efforts towards achieving the desired peace, saying, enough is enough for the wanton killings and destructions that does no one any good.
Speaking further, government needs to be proactive in containing straying bandits from other parts of the North into any part of Kaduna. Without the desired peace, no politician can even talk of 2023 general elections, let alone the people to undertake other meaningful endeavours, calling on all to be advocate of sustainable peace for a developed and progressive Kaduna.
