When the news of Wilson Iliya Yangye, Wakilin Kudun Gwong, Garkuwan Gauta decamping from APC back to the People Democratic Party (PDP) broke into the air, his followers and admirers tossed in ecstasy. In his Bade Ward, Jema’a constituency and his admirers across Southern Kaduna the spirit of hope filled their minds. A lot more people welcomed the news with excitement and jubilation.
He gets attention anywhere he goes because of his radiating silver linings, he is a free-giver, a problem solver and solution laden individual. He is a man whose words matches his action, a green thumb and a pragmatic politician, full of unquantifiable ideas and energy. These qualities and many more are responsible for the reason he gets favourable result in anything he set his eyes on in politics.
If information spewing from the rumour mill is anything to bank on, Wilson is responsible for some of the 15 APC Chieftains that dumped APC for PDP in Jema’a LG where Wilson is an admirable homeboy. In addition, one of the decampees, said, about 500 members of the APC will join the PDP in the coming days and he credit Wilson’s political maneuvering for some of the 500 APC members about to decamp.
PDP is a domain that Wilson breathed his first oxygen in his political life, and when he returned, he immediately swung into action, fortifying the party in his Bade Ward and Jema’a Constituency. This isn’t a surprised to those who know him as adroit politician and his dexterity – too, especially his political associates that are conversant with the way he is consistently delivering results to any party he finds himself.
Indeed, Wilson is a force to reckon with when it comes to grass-root politics. In barely 2 months amid his return to PDP, he has added to APC woes. To say he has opened the Pandora Box is certainly apt.
The difference between his previous political party, APC and where he is standing now, the Umbrella, is the sense of proprietorship and camaraderie. Wilson, in his PDP garb feels at home than being housed.
How best can one decipher between a happy and displeased man than assessing his mood. His brilliant performances since rejoining the PDP connotes that Wilson is operating in a cozy atmosphere. PDP is a familiar terrain, he has settled fast and tend to be delivering fast, in quick succession at the chagrin of APC.
When he decamped to the APC in 2015 he hurt PDP in demonic dimension, however he is currently demolishing APC grievously. Wilson is such a politician that the best way to contain him is to keep him at a touching distance to deter him from wreaking havoc.
