The Deputy Minority Whip of the Kaduna State House of Assembly and member representing Kaura Constituency, Hon. Yusufu Mugu, said Nigerians must be hopeful amid the mountains of challenges that are facing the country. The lawmaker urged the people of his constituency and the nation to be patient while working hard to overturn the problems militating against the nation.
This is contained in his message on the heel of the nation’s 60th Independent Anniversary.
Mugu went on to say, the challenges facing the country can be surmounted but, it has to be through collaboration and engagement. Everyone in the Nigerian project is a key player because everyone has a role to play and the need to harness all the resources that abound in this country for our progress must not be overemphasised.
As I emphasised on the need to progress as a people and a nation, it is fundamental to note that a healthy people are requisite for driving development. However, it is with great pains that Nigeria is celebrating its 60th birthday in a period of Covid-19 pandemic. We must continue to observe the Covid-19 pandemic measures laid by the government to mitigate its spread.
Again, I’m calling on the people of Kaura Constituency and all Nigerians to be law abiding and love one another. No any better remedy to conflict and panacea to development than peace and hardwork. As we celebrate this year’s independent anniversary, we must take stock of our achievements and failures to have a clear picture of where we are and what we need to do better.
