The Sunday Marshal Katung volunteers on Friday, began a door-to-door visit to mobilize support for the Senatorial candidature of Barr. Sunday Marshal Katung, who is contesting on the platform of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP.
Speaking when the group met with some critical stakeholders from the Southern Kaduna extraction, the convener of the group, Mr. Vincent Bodam, said the visit was to re-introduce the Aspirant and seek their support towards ensuring that Sunday Marshal Katung emerges the flag bearer of the PDP during the primaries, billed for this weekend.
Bodam explained that the group, which is made up of young and vibrant youths that believe in the progress of Southern Kaduna, they are convinced that with the experience in lawmaking and connections Barr. Katung has across the country and beyond, if given the opportunity he will attract meaningful development to the people.
Responding separately, a former General Secretary of ECWA, Professor Yusufu Turaki, the PDP Chairman in Kaura, Mr. Donatus Shamang, the Parish Priest of Mallagum, Rev. Fr. Micheal Cosmos Magaji, and the former Chairman of Subsidy Re-investment Program, SURE-P, Dr. Ishaya Darey Akau, thanked the group for the visit, and urged them to always ensure they present a blueprint to the aspirants.
They tasked delegates to have the interest of the people at heart while they cast their votes during the primaries, and not to allow the love for money influence their decisions.
Salama News reports that the group, whose membership is voluntary, has a membership strength drawn from across the eight Local Government Areas that make up the Kaduna South Senatorial Zone and beyond.
